LSU’s Textiles, Apparel, and Merchandising program is top-notch and has placed students in internships with Vera Wang, Tommy Hilfiger, and Ralph Lauren, just to name a few. Students not only learn the technical and creative aspects of the fashion industry, but also how to create sustainable and environmentally friendly garments. One alum who is making a big name for himself is Anthony Ryan Auld. In 2010, Auld took the top prize at the Dallas Career Day, earning a scholarship to study at the Paris American Academy in Paris, France. Most recently, Auld was a contestant on season 9 of Project Runway, where he quickly became a fan favorite.
